Here I Stand Ashtray

$30.00

The only Lutheran ashtray so cool, you don't have to smoke to want one!

On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther posted 95 Theses on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, calling for a “disputation on the power and efficacy of indulgences out of love and zeal for truth and the desire to bring it to light.”

On the 15th of June, 1520, Pope Leo X ordered Martin Luther to recant or face excommunication from the Church.

Luther responded to the Pope in December, 1520, by publicly burning the Pope’s order, a Papal Bull entitled Exsurge Domine.

Take your stand as you sit and enjoy your favorite cigar, then join with Luther as you burn the Papal Bull with the ashes.

This ashtray is 5.75” in diameter and 1” high. The edge says “Here I Stand” in German, with an image of Leo X’s bull in the bowl. It comes in tobacco brown and ash black.
